Michael Hoosien, MD MSc, received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He continued his training with an internal medicine residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, a post-doctoral fellowship in molecular cardiology at the Miller School of Medicine, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also holds a masters degree in biotechnology and bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Hoosien is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He is bilingual and fluent in both English and German.
Dr. Hoosien treats patients with cardiac arrhythmias. He has a special interest in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, management of supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia, and cardiac resynchronization therapy.
In his spare time, Dr. Hoosien enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and art.

Zubin Yavar, M.D., FACC is a cardiologist and cardiovascular imaging specialist. A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, he completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He has a passion for cardiac imaging as evident by his specialized training in advanced adult comprehensive echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
As a general cardiologist, Dr. Yavar is trained to treat a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions. His ability to articulate complex concepts with clarity helps engage patients in understanding their conditions.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, exploring new countries, formula 1 racing, the arts, tennis and rock climbing.

Kirk Laman, D.O. F.A.C.C., earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He went on to do his internal medicine residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital and his invasive cardiology fellowship at Sinai Hospital of Detroit. Dr. Laman is board certified in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His special interests include cardiac imaging and preventative cardiology. In his spare time, Dr. Laman enjoys writing, photography, and travel.
Dr. Battey received his medical degree from the Emory School of Medicine after earning his undergraduate degree cum laude from Vanderbilt University. He completed his internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals and served as chief resident in medicine for Grady Hospital. Dr. Battey served as a senior associate in medicine at Emory University Hospital Midtown's Carlyle Fraser Heart Center (formerly named Crawford W. Long Hospital of Emory University) from 1984-1999 and has been with Piedmont Healthcare since 2000. He is board certified in internal medicine with a cardiovascular disease subspecialty. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association, Georgia Heart Association and the American Medical Association. Dr. Battey currently is in practice with Piedmont Heart Institute at the Piedmont Atlanta campus and the Canton locations.
Gary C. Chan, D.O., Ph.D., earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his residency at Brookwood Baptist Health. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Chan has been practicing medicine for 20 years. He has expertise in treating coronary artery disease, chronic high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, among other conditions.
