David Poynter, M.D. received his medical degree from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, which is where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Poynter went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine and has been practicing in Walton County since 2013. Dr. Poynter currently serves as a team physician at multiple local high schools.
Dr. Poynter sees patients of all ages, including infants, adolescents, and adults. He has a special interest in sports medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Poynter enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, playing golf, and watching UGA athletics.
Dr. Navid received her medical degree from Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and worked as a family doctor in Iran for four years. She then moved to Loganville and became a proud US citizen. She completed her internship and residency training in family medicine at Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, New Jersey, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Navid treats patients of all ages – from infants to seniors.
Dr. Navid is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Navid and her husband are the proud parents of one child and enjoy traveling, cooking and gardening.
