The Piedmont Columbus Regional John B. Amos Cancer Center is the only oncology center in the Columbus, Georgia region to offer a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary program accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. It is the only cancer treatment center with this designation in the 14-county service area around Columbus.
All oncology doctors at our cancer treatment center are board-certified in their fields. They provide cancer care and lead a team of dedicated professionals who guide patients through cancer treatment. This team may include additional cancer specialists, clinical researchers, case manager associates, clinical counselors, pharmacists, radiation physicists and therapists, oncology- and chemotherapy-certified nurses and registered dietitians.
For newly diagnosed cancer patients, we offer next-day appointments so our oncology staff can get you started on a treatment plan.
The John B. Amos Cancer Center offers a variety of free support services programs for oncology patients. Some of the free programs include art therapy, smoking cessation, massage therapy, nutrition counseling as well as a variety of support groups for patients and caregivers. Interventional Pain Management
Interventional Pain Management is a non-opioid management utilizing ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided minimally invasive procedures and surgeries that include but not limited to nerve block, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, regenerative therapy, neurostimulation, interspinous spacers and fusion devices, implantable drug delivery and vertebral augmentation to help with chronic pain and make day-to-day activities less difficult.

Dr. Chaudhary is board certified in Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology. He is skilled in interventional endoscopic procedures including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), lap-assisted ERCP, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), esophageal stenting, pseudocyst drainage with cystgastrostomy, and Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of Barrett’s esophagus. He is the first provider to bring diagnostic and therapeutic EUS to the region. He also performs EGD and colorectal cancer screening colonoscopies. His interests include prevention, staging, management & palliation of gastrointestinal malignancies.
When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Chaudhary enjoys traveling, camping, and hiking with his wife, daughter and dogs.

Gregory P Sfakianos, MD

Whenever possible, Dr. Sfakianos uses minimally invasive techniques to treat women with gynecological cancers, reducing blood loss, decreasing pain, and speeding recovery. He is the first gynecologic oncologist in the Chattahoochee Valley to be trained in robotic surgical techniques. When necessary a more radical approach is taken that involves extensive debulking of cancer and reconstruction of pelvic organs and structures, including the intestines, urinary system, and lymph nodes.
Dr. Sfakianos works with his team at the John B. Amos Cancer Center specializing in gynecologic cancer treatments. Together, they bring women the latest in diagnostics and the most comprehensive cancer care possible.
