Jefferson Jones II, M.D., is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been practicing for 8 years. He completed his doctorate at Mercer University School of Medicine and his residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He currently serves as the Associate Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Piedmont Columbus Regional’s Midtown Campus. He also serves as Mercer University’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Chairman for the Columbus Campus. Dr. Jones has specific interest in minimally invasive GYN surgery with a particular interest in robotic surgery. He also enjoys taking care of high-risk obstetric patients and complications with pregnancy.
Jefferson Jones II, M.D. is married and has four children. He enjoys being involved with his community and family. He is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Columbus. He is also active with multiple little league and football league organizations where he coaches and volunteers. Dr. Jones loves spending time with his three daughters, son and wife.
Kendall Handy, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been practicing for over 30 years. He currently serves at the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Piedmont Columbus Regional’s Midtown Campus. He graduated from the University of Alabama At Birmingham in 1985 and completed his internship and residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Handy has a special interest in the total well-being of the patient. His concern is for the patient’s spiritual as well as mental well-being since both will impact a patient’s physical health.
Dr. Handy is married to Janet and has four grown children and two grandchildren.
Julie Ward, C.N.M., a certified nurse midwife, has over 11 years of experience in providing women’s healthcare. She cares for young women as early as adolescence, then throughout life into the post-menopausal period. She is especially passionate about providing care for the teenage population.
Julie is married with three children. She has a small cattle farm that she loves. Other favorite activities include running with her daughter and quilting.
