Available 24 hours a day, these critical care and trauma surgeons offer consultation and referral services to community physicians requiring support in the management of patients with conditions such as adult respiratory distress syndrome, necrotizing fasciitis, sepsis and multiple organ failure.

Critical Care and Surgical Trauma for critically ill and injured patients
GK Singh, M.D., is a critical care specialist. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his Doctorate from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Pokhara, Nepal. GK was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, MD and then completed his Critical Care Fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.
Jim Cunningham, M.D., is a critical care specialist who has been practicing since 1976. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and has completed residencies in general surgery and thoracic surgery. He completed his surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Lauren K. Perez, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who has over 17 years clinical experience. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, is a BLS and ACLS certified instructor with additional certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and the Society of Trauma Nurses. As trauma coordinator for a Level 2 Community Trauma Program, Lauren provides oversight of trauma registry data submitted to the National Trauma Data Base and the Trauma Quality Improvement project. She conducts classroom, bedside and community education on injury prevention. Lauren is returning to Columbus Regional after five years of experience working in Georgia’s only American College of Surgeons Level 1 trauma center and ED.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys local/global travel and spending time with family and friends.
