Jake J. Porter, III, MD is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Porter is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery and provides orthopedic care to patients in the Stockbridge community. Dr. Porter’s specialties include comprehensive treatment options for foot and ankle conditions including foot and ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement (arthroplasty), Morton’s neuroma, bunions, hammertoes, flat foot reconstruction, hind foot fusion, plantar fasciitis, and Charcot foot. Dr. Porter also treats general orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, fractures and dislocations as well as workers’ compensation injuries. He is especially interested in the mechanics of the human body and how it relates to patient care.
Tobias von Bergen, MD is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. von Bergen’s practice includes wrist, elbow, and shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction, comprehensive care of adult and pediatric upper extremity injuries and ailments, fracture care, as well as work injuries. He has a special interest in advanced care for lost limbs, including targeted muscle reinnervation, regenerative peripheral nerve surgery and neuroma management.
Richard J. Bowles, MD, provides orthopedic care to patients in our McDonough and Stockbridge locations. His practice includes general orthopedics with a specialization in sports medicine. He has special interests in ACL reconstruction and complex knee surgery (including multiligamentous reconstruction and cartilage salvage/knee preservation) and advanced arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee.
Dr. Bowles graduated with honors from the University of Louisville and continued his education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, after a career in engineering and business. After completing a general surgery internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital) in Boston, Dr. Bowles completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He is a team physician for the US Ski & Snowboard Team.
