Jennifer Monaco, MD, FACFAS graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, New York, with a doctorate in podiatric medicine. At the Level 1 Trauma Center Scripps Mercy Hospital and Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Diego, California, she finished her residency in podiatric surgery. At Sinai Hospital’s Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Monaco finished a fellowship in limb lengthening and reconstruction. She then underwent an A.O. trauma fellowship at Inselspital University of Bern in Bern, Switzerland, after finishing her fellowship. Dr. Monaco has completed 11 medical missions leading about half of them, she has worked mostly in Kathmandu. She and her teams preform free foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr. Monaco, who had previously worked in a private practice in San Diego, decided to give back to the community by taking a position as an assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, where she taught both academically and clinically. After that, she relocated to the East Coast where she worked for a private practice. She now is practicing in the Columbus area.
Dr. Monaco is board-qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rear-foot and ankle surgery with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She has also completed additional training with Healogics®, the nation’s top wound care management firm, to become certified in advanced wound care and wound prevention for chronic illnesses.
Dr. Monaco is welcoming new patients and accepts most insurance plans. She is looking forward to helping the Columbus Community get back on their feet!
