He performs heart catheterization procedures to reopen blocked heart arteries and is part of the specialist team for emergency treatment of heart attacks. Dr. Prahash is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. Prior to joining Piedmont, he practiced cardiology in central Virginia since 2007.

Dr. Prahash was amazing! Very direct, listened, knowledgeable, informative and reasonable. He answered all of my questions and instead of ordering a ton of test right from the start, he gave advice, alternative treatments I can do at home, live style and diet changes to try first and told me to follow up if the symptoms/problems continue and if they do then he will order the test. This is the first time I,Äôve ever had a doctor treat me with this much respect and know that running test first is not always the answer! Hands down the best doctor ever and I will definitely be keeping him as my cardiologist! My advice to others: if you don,Äôt have a cardiologist and need one don,Äôt walk, run to Dr. Prahash! 100% worth it and you won,Äôt regret it!
