Bakr Jundi, MD

Bakr Jundi, MD, MMSCI earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in New York, followed by a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He subsequently completed an Advanced Diagnostic Bronchoscopy Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary disease.

Dr. Jundi specializes in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with special interests in COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, pulmonary nodules, lung cancer evaluation, and advanced lung diseases. He is particularly interested in advanced bronchoscopy and minimally invasive techniques for the diagnosis of lung nodules, mediastinal lymphadenopathy, and other complex pulmonary conditions.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Jundi has an extensive background in translational and clinical research. Dr. Jundi completed a Master's of Medical Sciences in Clinical Investigation at Harvard Medical School. He worked on innovative research focused on sepsis, inflammation, lung disease, and critical illness. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed medical journals, including Nature Biomedical Engineering, JCI Insight, and others. His research aims to advance the understanding of complex pulmonary diseases and improve outcomes for critically ill patients.

In his spare time, Dr. Jundi enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, biking, and watching basketball. Dr. Jundi is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
