Benita Lois Bonser, MD

Benita Bonser, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who's been on the team at Southern Crescent Women's HealthCare since 2003. She currently sees patients at the practice's locations in Fayetteville and Stockbridge, Georgia, and is passionate about preventative medicine and the prevention of teenage pregnancy.

Dr. Bonser earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, completed her residency at the Michigan State University-affiliated Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and did a fellowship in Nigeria. She's since continued her education with a number of different postgraduate courses on subjects such as menopause management and colposcopy with the treatment of precancerous cervical conditions. She's also pursued further training in various surgical techniques.

Dr. Bonser is as passionate about educating others and she is about educating herself. She teaches a popular seminar called "Healthy Body - Healthy Soul" along with Pete Thomas, the weight loss guru from NBC's "The Biggest Loser." Together, the two of them help people find pathways to permanent weight loss and healthier life choices.

Outside of work, Dr. Bonser enjoys the diversity of Atlanta with her husband and their two children.
