Chika Ikenna Nwachukwu, MD

Chika Nwachukwu, MD, received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Nwachukwu is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. His clinical interests include evidence-based medicine, joint aspiration and injections, skin biopsies, and improving health care in underserved communities. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.

Known for his attentive and patient-centered approach, Dr. Nwachukwu is committed to taking the time to listen, educate and partner with his patients to achieve their best health outcomes. He strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their care.

In his spare time, he enjoys community outreach, volunteer medical mission work and health education initiatives.

Dr. Nwachukwu welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
