Christian Andres Bermudez, MD

Christian A. Bermudez, MD is the surgical director of the Lung Transplant and CTEPH Program at the Piedmont Heart Institute.

Dr. Bermudez is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon and has been practicing for over 20 years. He focuses on the treatment of advanced cardio-pulmonary failure and specializes in Heart and Lung Transplantation and mechanical support (ECMO and LVAD). He is proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, including surgical coronary revascularization, valve surgery, aortic and complex surgery and has a special interest in the surgical management of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease.

In his spare time, Dr. Bermudez enjoys spending time with his wife, supporting his four children and organizing family ski trips.

Dr. Bermudez is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
