Courtney Pollard, III, MD, PhD is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Peachtree Radiation Oncology Services that grew up in Lithia Springs, GA. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Magna Cum Laude) from Morehouse College where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical doctorate as well as his philosophical doctorate in molecular physiology and biological physics from the University of Virginia.
Upon graduating medical school Dr. Pollard completed a preliminary medicine internship at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He then completed residency training in radiation oncology at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas - the #1 ranked cancer center in the country by US News and World Report. Dr. Pollard published multiple manuscripts in residency related to clinical outcomes in the treatment of head and neck cancer with a special focus on reradiating recurrent head and neck malignancies. In addition, Dr. Pollard is an author in the leading Radiation Oncology review books 'Radiation Oncology - A Question Based Review'and 'Pocket Radiation Oncology.'
Dr. Pollard has trained with experts in all aspects of radiation oncology. He treats a wide range of cancers and is proficient in the latest radiotherapy techniques including intensity modulated radiation therapy, volumetric modulated arc therapy, interstitial and intracavitary brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and stereotactic body radiation therapy.
Dr. Pollard is devoted to patient centered, multi-disciplinary, evidenced based cancer care. Every patient seen by Dr. Pollard is treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Dr. Pollard works hand in hand with his patients and their families to navigate their treatment.
In his spare time Dr. Pollard enjoys reading, exercising, watching movies, playing golf, and being the ultimate Atlanta Falcons fan. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife and family.

Dr. Pollard was & is a wonderful dr., I would definitely refer him to others, and I would love to see again as a pt., but I don't want cancer again.
