Emily Tyus Kitchens, NP

Emily Tyus, FNP-BC, earned her Doctorate of Nursing from Augusta University, Bachelors in Dietetics from UGA, Masters in Nutrition from UGA, and Masters in Nursing from Augusta University. She is also a Registered Dietitian.

Emily has been in healthcare for 5 years. Prior to joining Piedmont Augusta, Emily worked as a nurse at Piedmont Athens. She started as program coordinator in June 2023. In October 2024, Emily became the nurse practitioner.

Emily specializes in nutrition and weight loss. Her special interest include care of post-bariatric surgery patients and patients on weight loss medication.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Cookie and Gizmo.
