Jeffrey Wang, MD, MSc earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Osler Housestaff Training Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at the National Institutes of Health and in Cardiology at Emory University.
Dr. Wang is actively involved in national professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO). His research focuses on outcomes in patients with heart failure and cardiogenic shock requiring mechanical circulatory support.
Dr. Wang specializes in Critical Care Cardiology, caring for patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) with cardiogenic shock supported by mechanical circulatory devices. He is passionate about critical care medicine and believes that a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach is essential to achieving the best outcomes in the CICU.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
