She earned her medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York and completed her internship and residency at Emory University. Dr. Chitwood was in private practice with Peachtree Internal Medicine in Atlanta before joining Piedmont Physicians Group. She is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Chitwood listens to my concerns and gives the best treatment advice for my condition. She is very knowledgeable and very caring about her patients. My wife and I both see Dr. Chitwood as our primary care physician. We are both lucky to have her as our doctor. She is the best.
