Mio Yanagisawa, MD

Mio Yanagisawa, M.D., earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and completed her General Surgery residency at UC Davis Medical Center. She is board certified in general surgery. She then pursued further specialization through fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology through Emory University.

Dr. Yanagisawa specializes in the surgical and multi-disciplinary management of breast cancer care. She understands the complexity of each individual's cancer journey, and will guide patients and their families through their personalized treatment path with detailed attention, time and expertise. She also manages benign and non-surgical breast conditions. She enjoys educating patients on breast health awareness and empowering patients to be their best advocate. She has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery including hidden scar technique and the aesthetic mastectomy. She is highly skilled in the nipple sparing mastectomy approach as well.
