Nelson M Oyesiku, MD

Nelson Oyesiku, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan. He completed residency at Emory University School of Medicine and an internship in General Surgery at the University of Connecticut - Hartford Hospital.

He is board-certified in Neurological Surgery and has been practicing medicine for 40 years, specializing in endoscopic skull base and pituitary surgery.

Named Chief of Neurosciences for Piedmont Healthcare in November 2025, Dr. Oyesiku is internationally recognized in pituitary medicine and surgery, having performed over 4,700 pituitary tumor operations.

He has served on multiple state, regional, national and international committees for all the major neurosurgical organizations in the world.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, football and golf.
