Veena Danthuluri, MD

Dr. Veena Danthuluri is a highly trained cataract surgeon specializing in a broad spectrum of comprehensive ophthalmology. She joined the team at Eye Consultants from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL (UAB), where she earned her M.D. in 2021, following a B.S. in Biomedical Science from the University of South Alabama, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a frequent recipient of academic and leadership honors. Dr. Danthuluri completed her transitional year internship at Brookwood Baptist Health followed by her residency training at UAB and Callahan Eye Hospital.

Her research accomplishments span both clinical and basic sciences, also being a recipient of multiple academic accolades, including the Outstanding Resident Presentation award at the UAB Annual Ophthalmology Symposium. Dr. Danthuluri brings a strong commitment to research, clinical excellence, and leadership in the field of ophthalmology.
