Dr. Ramanath earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India. He is also a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians United Kingdom i.e. MRCP(UK). He did his residency from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He also completed Nephrology fellowship from UAB Birmingham. He is board certified in Internal Medicine & Neprology.

Dr. Ramanath has been practicing medicine for 16 years. His special interest include home dialysis, including peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.

Dr. Ramanath has presented papers in several national conferences including the American Society of Nephrology & National Kidney Foundation, and has numerous publications.
