Jake J. Porter, III, MD is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Porter is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery and provides orthopedic care to patients in the Stockbridge community. Dr. Porter’s specialties include comprehensive treatment options for foot and ankle conditions including foot and ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement (arthroplasty), Morton’s neuroma, bunions, hammertoes, flat foot reconstruction, hind foot fusion, plantar fasciitis, and Charcot foot. Dr. Porter also treats general orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, fractures and dislocations as well as workers’ compensation injuries. He is especially interested in the mechanics of the human body and how it relates to patient care.

Michael A. McHenry, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. McHenry provides pain management and non-surgical orthopaedic care to patients through his extensive training in the management of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and sports-related injuries. Areas of his practice include nonoperative spine care, electrodiagnostic medicine, occupational and work-related injury management, interventional spine and ultrasound guided injections. Dr. McHenry also performs Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs). Dr. McHenry enjoys building relationships with patients that will bring about excellent treatment outcomes. David A. Brcka, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is fellowship trained in sports medicine. Dr. Brcka has advanced training in arthroscopic hip preservation surgery, a minimally-invasive procedure for treating many painful hip conditions.

Dr. Brcka’s practice includes sports medicine and general orthopedics with special interest in hip arthroscopy for hip pain, total and reverse shoulder arthroplasty, shoulder arthroscopy, and shoulder replacement surgery. He is also skilled at treating femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) and providing total knee arthroplasty, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, trauma and fracture care.

Domenic Scalamogna, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery. His practice encompasses a wide variety of orthopedic conditions to include general orthopedics, sports medicine, fracture care, and joint arthroplasty of the hip, knee and shoulder. Specific arthroplasty interests include custom total knee replacement as well as anterior total hip arthroplasty, also known as front hip replacement. Total hip replacement through the front of the joint preserves important hip muscles essential for ambulation while also eliminating post-operative restrictions resulting in a more expeditious post-operative recovery. Following completion of his general surgery internship at the National Naval Medical Center in 2002, Dr. Scalamogna completed a course in Aviation Medicine in Pensacola, FL and subsequently served as a Naval Flight Surgeon for Carrier Air Wing ONE. He participated in Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom during a six-month deployment aboard the USS Enterprise (CNV-65). Following his tour as a Naval Flight Surgeon, Dr. Scalamogna entered his orthopedic residency in 2005 at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. While at Bethesda, his unique training encompassed the evaluation and treatment of complex extremity war wound reconstruction. After 12 years of active duty service, he completed his final tour in the United States Navy as a staff orthopedic surgeon at the Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy. Actively serving the military population, Dr. Scalamogna volunteers for the Wounded Warrior Project, as well as caring for pilots and members of the aviation industry with orthopedic conditions. Dr. Scalamogna is fluent in Italian and welcomes Italian-speaking patients.

Kevin U. Park, M.D., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship trained in spine surgery. His practice includes adult degenerative cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal pathology, traumatic spinal injuries, motion preservation technology, also known as total disc arthroplasty, and minimally invasive spinal surgery. Dr. Park has conducted research and presented at both national and international meetings. As an avid golfer, his research studying the ability of golfers to return to sport after lumbar fusion has been both an intellectual and personal endeavor. Preserving quality of life in patients led Dr. Park to become a spine surgeon. Utilizing techniques such as motion preservation technology and minimally invasive procedures can influence patient outcome, returning them to the things they love doing.

Dr. Park makes presentations on the topic of scoliosis and innovative treatment techniques within the communities in which he serves. Dr. Park is also fluent in Korean.

Charles T. Fryberger, III, M.D. is a board eligible, orthopaedic surgeon who completed his fellowship at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Institute. He treats patients at our Fayetteville and Peachtree City locations. His specialties include knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle arthroscopy, sports medicine, total joint replacement surgery, general orthopaedics, adult and pediatric fracture care, and work injuries.

Dr. Fryberger is a graduate of Auburn University and completed his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Campbell Clinic-University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Fryberger has extensive experience with athletes at the professional, college, and high school levels. During his fellowship at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, he provided medical coverage for the University of Alabama Football team as well as other teams at the university. Dr. Fryberger also provided coverage for the 2022 SEC Baseball Tournament, The Birmingham Barons Minor League Baseball team, and the USFL Philidelphia Stars. In the summer of 2022 Dr. Fryberger had the opportunity to provide medical coverage at The World Games in Birmingham, Alabama. Events included muay thai, wakeboarding, waterskiing, sport climbing, canopy, and gymnastics. Dr. Fryberger is the Team Physician for all Fayette County high schools and looks forward to becoming active in the community.
