Brandon C. Maisel, DO, is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine, specializing in non-operative orthopedic care. He focuses on helping patients reduce pain, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy - often without surgery. His expertise includes treating sports injuries, joint pain, tendon disorders, spine-related conditions, fractures, work injuries, and concussions.

Dr. Maisel completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Ala, where he gained advanced experience caring for athletes at all levels. During his fellowship, he served as team physician for the University of West Alabama and Briarwood High School. In addition, he provided medical coverage for the University of Alabama, the 2022 SEC Baseball Tournament, the Birmingham Barons Minor League Baseball team (Chicago White Sox AA affiliate), Samford University Basketball, the Mercedes-Benz Marathon and various teams within the United States Football League.

In the summer of 2022, Dr. Maisel provided medical coverage at The World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, supporting events including muay thai, jiu jitsu, karate, dance, korfball, floorball, canoeing and gymnastics.

A native of Boca Raton, Fla, Dr. Maisel earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Central Florida and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Maisel utilizes advanced diagnostic tools such as musculoskeletal ultrasound and performs ultrasound-guided procedures to enhance accuracy and patient outcomes. His procedural expertise includes platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, viscosupplementation, corticosteroid injections, and minimally invasive treatments for tendon and joint conditions. His goal is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that prioritizes movement, education and long-term recovery.
