Dr. Naim Shaheed is a native of Georgia. He has been in private practice in Metro Atlanta area since 1991. Dr. Shaheed's professional interests are sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He is on the Board of Directors for the "100 Black Men" of DeKalb. He is also part of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Dr. Shaheed resides in Snellville. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving and karate. Dr. Shaheed provides service in Lithonia and Midtown.
Dr. Donald R. Powell is originally from southeastern Georgia, where he grew up in the Savannah area. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University and his doctorate from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. From there, he completed his residency at Dekalb Medical (Now, Emory Decatur), in Decatur, Georgia. While in Atlanta, he received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Powell has previously served as the Director of Podiatric Medical Education at Dekalb Medical and is currently a member of the teaching and research faculty at The Podiatry Institute, an internationally recognized teaching foundation for reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He is an author and co-author in numerous editions of the Podiatry Institute's annual "Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery Update" as well as a contributing author to the new edition of McGlamry's Comprehensive Foot & Ankle textbook. In addition to his numerous publications, Dr. Powell has also contributed as a member with Healing the Children, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the treatment of children in El Salvador and other developing countries.
Dr. Powell has participated in multiple triathlons, races, and obstacle courses. He has a personal interest in many of the injuries that can be associated with marathon runners and athletes. Dr. Powell is currently on staff at many of the local hospitals and sees patients in three locations; Decatur, Piedmont/Buckhead and at Emory Midtown. He is licensed in Georgia and is in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association. His current hospital affiliations are Piedmont Atlanta, Emory Decatur and Emory Midtown.
Dr. Curry is a native of Georgia. Medicine has been her lifelong passion and she feels blessed when a patient puts their trust and health in her hands. Dr. Curry states "treat every patient with the utmost respect and care, as if they were my own family member. I enjoy meeting new patients daily and exploring the challenges of podiatric medicine." Dr. Curry's professional special interests are in forefoot surgery, tendon injury repair and diabetic limb reconstruction. Dr. Curry provides service in Lithonia and Midtown.
