Augusta Essuman-Nelson, DO, earned her medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from University of Dayton and Masters in Anatomy from Wright State University and will be board certified in Internal Medicine.
Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Essuman-Nelson was a Chief Resident at St. John Medical Center and she specializes in primary care. Dr. Essuman-Nelson has a special interest in hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular diseases, anemia and kidney disease.
In her spare time, Dr. Essuman-Nelson enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys traveling to different countries, playing tennis, reading and interior design.

Dr. Perry earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, North Carolina and received the Robert P. Vidinghoff Memorial Award for his aptitude and devotion to family medicine. He completed his residency in family practice at Emory University, where he served as chief resident. He is board-certified in family medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Perry practiced at Eagle's Landing Family Practice in Stockbridge, Georgia. He serves as an adjunct professor of family medicine at Emory School of Medicine. While he has many interests in medicine, Dr. Perry takes a special interest in behavioral medicine, preventative care, and small surgical procedures. His philosophy on medicine is based on a quote he heard in medical school: "cure sometimes, comfort often, and care always". In his spare time, Dr. Perry enjoys playing the piano, traveling, reading, going to the theater and spending time with his significant other and two Maine coon cats Dr. Perry is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
Jasmine Park, DO, is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Park specializes in preventative care and chronic disease management with a special interest in reducing cardiovascular risk factors.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, and traveling.

Cullen Kelly, M.D., is board certified in internal medicine and has a special interest in the treatment of diabetes, HIV, hypertension, cardiovascular and transgender medicine. Dr. Kelly believes in a holistic approach to medicine, considering the patient’s health as a whole, in order to provide the highest quality care while also coming to fully know and understand his patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Kelly enjoys hiking with his partner and goldendoodle. He is also an avid baker and enjoys entertaining friends and family.
Lizzie Gafford, FNP, is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing at Mercer University.
Lizzie specializes in primary care medicine, outpatient care, and family medicine.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.
