Alonzo Tyrone Sexton, II, MD

Dr. Alonzo T. Sexton is a trailblazing orthopedic surgeon with over 19 years of clinical experience, specializing in sports medicine at professional, collegiate, and amateur levels. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and holds Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Dr. Sexton earned his Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University and his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University Hospital, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sexton has demonstrated expertise in treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with a particular focus on shoulder and knee injuries. His surgical specialties include procedures addressing shoulder arthritis, such as shoulder replacements, labral repairs for shoulder dislocations, and arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs.
