David Poynter, M.D. received his medical degree from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, which is where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Poynter went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine and has been practicing in Walton County since 2013. Dr. Poynter currently serves as a team physician at multiple local high schools.

Dr. Poynter really showed concern about my alcohol consumption. Have made a commitment to limit myself to 2 drinks. I really like his straight forward approach, all I can say is thank you so much for your support.
