Elisha Poynter, M.D. received her medical degree from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, which is where she also completed her residency. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Poynter worked in Walton County as a family medicine physician, and then went on to become a hospitalist at several hospitals throughout Georgia. She has since returned to Walton County to join Piedmont Physicians of Monroe.
Dr. Poynter sees patients of all ages. She has a special interest in weight loss management.

Dr Poynter was professional and easy to talk with. She listened to my concerns and addressed each one. She had looked over my Piedmont records prior to our appointment and was familiar with my medical history.
