Elisha Poynter, M.D. received her medical degree from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, which is where she also completed her residency. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Poynter worked in Walton County as a family medicine physician, and then went on to become a hospitalist at several hospitals throughout Georgia. She has since returned to Walton County to join Piedmont Physicians of Monroe.
Dr. Poynter sees patients of all ages. She has a special interest in weight loss management.
Dr. Poynter welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

I left on my accolades on the previous post but I'll say it again Doctor Poynter is an excellent listener. She listens to solve. She knows so much. And what's awesome is what she doesn't know she'll send you to where you can find out the best answer (example- referral to a endocrinologist )
