He spoke rapidly and talked to his notebook. Once I told him I was hard of hearing and read some lips he stopped and then started again speaking to me in a slower, articulated voice and looked me straight in the eyes. This was spectacular! I could understand EVERY (the keyword with doctors) word he said. That has never happened like that before. I just loved it! just in case I don,Äôt get the opportunity I want to tell you 2 things. The lady that took my vitals, I told her I was hard of hearing and she didn,Äôt take off down the hall like most talking to the floor. She told me that she was going to get my vitals and to please follow her. She got to the door and waited while I entered the room. She looked at me and stated that I could put my purse anywhere I liked. She looked at me mostly but worked with super speed and had my vitals done before most nurses have a BP cup on me! No kidding, this lady was so nice, had obviously done this multiple times before and spoke where I could understand her. Her name was Jaila or something close to that. Cudos to her ! Such a bonus! I was in a good mood & smiling when the doctor came in thanks to her. The other thing that I loved about the visit was the paper that I was given when I left that summarized the visit. It helps me tell my family what the doctor said. I only wish it had the numbers that he gave me. He said something was 76 and 80 was ok, good, normal, acceptable? Don,Äôt know what was 76 and what 80 represents. Also gave me 2 other sets of numbers and I don,Äôt remember them right at this moment. It would sure be a bonus if the numbers were on the paper. What I left knowing is cpap & lose weight. I had to reschedule the breathing test I think because of my heart issues. When I went to the test and blew in the machine I didn,Äôt think that I had any further appointments scheduled. The lady left the room and came back in Thursday and said your appt is on Tuesday. I went home extremely concerned because it takes several months to get an appt and mine was next week? Holy Moly,Ķ surely something was bad wrong with me! I came expecting something terrible so I was delighted to hear ,Äòmild sleep apnea,Äô. The only thing that I could suggest to the doctor is to gently touch the patient. I see Dr Vik Chhokar and Dr Alex Chavez. I just love these guys. They are not stand offish. They will pat me on the back or touch me on the top of my knee. Most anything will say that he is more caring. Dr Alex Chavez came by to see me 2 mornings in a row early, before his office opened. A week after I had my ablation I went to ER in ambulance. They called my heart doc (Chhokar) but I called my afib doc,Äôs (Khairallah) office. Dr Alex Chavez is the man with the plan that I see all the time. His name may not be on the sign but he knows what is going on. I saw Dr DeLugio for over a year on paper and was not in the room with him more than 15 mins total. I would always see Dr Alex Chavez. He is a superstar!!!! That,Äôs about it. Now let,Äôs see what else this survey wants to know, lol. Call me anytime between 11 am & 2 am.
