Michael William Shotwell, MD

Michael Shotwell, M.D., is a general surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. Dr. Shotwell specializes in minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures, providing excellent care for conditions such as gallbladder, hernia, thyroid, and colorectal disease.
Dr. Shotwell earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a general surgery residency at Michigan State University. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. When he's not working, Dr. Shotwell enjoys time with his family, hiking, and following UGA athletics.
Dr. Shotwell is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
