Dr. Loungani earned his medical degree at Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed his internal medicine residency in the Osler Medical Training Program at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He went on to complete fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology at Duke University Hospital. He also completed a research fellowship at the Duke Clinical Research Institute.
Dr. Loungani specializes in Cardiomyopathy, Advanced Heart Failure, and Cardiac Transplantation. He additionally has a special interest in caring for patients with Cardiac Amyloidosis. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, and most recently board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. He is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and exploring his new home in Georgia.
