Dr Sonia Richards earned her medical degree from St. Matthews University School of Medicine Grand Cayman and completed her residency at Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, Georgia. She received her undergraduate and graduate degree in Nursing from Florida International University. She is board certified as a Family Medicine Physician.

Dr. Richards has been practicing medicine for a total of 29 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Richards was a Family Nurse Practitioner for 26 years.

She was amazing person. She More explained a lot of things to me that I didn,Äôt know and this is type of doctor that we all need.

I love her! She is so thorough caring and personable. My favorite pcp retired 20 years ago and I haven't been able to find a Dr since that gave me the great care that she did. However I believe I've found that in dr Richard's. Thanks for bringing her to the practice!
