J. Edwyn Carter, M.D. earned his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in pediatrics at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals of Atlanta. Christina Escalante, M.D. earned her medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology cum laude from Davidson College and is board certified in Pediatrics. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Escalante was working as an attending general pediatrician in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Emergency Department. She specializes in care for medically complex children and adolescent health and has a special interest in asthma, ADHD, adolescent health and healthy equity.
In her spare time, Dr. Escalante enjoys spending time outside with her husband and daughter. She enjoys swimming, cooking, sitting at the playground, and getting involved in overly complicated home improvement projects with her husband.
