Dr. Hassan Sayegh is a cardiologist and medical director of Piedmont's Heart Failure Resource Center who specializes in heart failure. Dr. Sayegh earned both his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his internship, residency and fellowships at Emory University School of Medicine in cardiovascular research and in clinical cardiology. Dr. Sayegh is a past recipient of a National Institute of Health's National Research Service Award. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases with certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.

Steven Sigman, M.D. earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. He subsequently completed a medical residency and cardiology fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia and Emory respectively. Following that he served as chief resident at Grady Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart Institute in 2009, Dr. Sigman was assistant professor of medicine (cardiology) at Emory University. Dr. Sigman is currently board certified in both cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology. He currently serves as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology for Piedmont Hospital and the Piedmont Heart Institute. He also serves as a cardiology consultant both in the office and at Piedmont Hospital. His interests include diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, vascular disease, and cardiac manifestations of complex medical conditions. Dr. Sigman is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and the America Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He has authored or co-authored several publications and abstracts and frequently lectures on the topic of cardiac imaging. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Carolyn H. Sigman M.D., and his 5 children.

Prior to joining Piedmont Heart in Atlanta, Dr. Tahir obtained further training in cardiac MRI at Duke University in Durham, NC.

Dr. Tahir treats adult patients and has special interests in preventive medicine, quality improvement and advanced cardiovascular imaging modalities.

Dr. Sara Mobasseri earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. She completed her internal medicine internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Mobasseri is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is certified in nuclear cardiology and adult echocardiography. Dr. Mobasseri has held various academic roles throughout her career. She was an associate professor of medicine at Northwestern University and was involved with starting a women's heart program at Northwestern and Evanston Hospitals in Chicago. Dr. Mobasseri was also a clinical professor of medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia and served as the clinical fellowship site director and director of cardiology and non-invasive imaging at Graduate Hospital, also located in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Mobasseri was in practice with Cardiology of Georgia, one of the three groups that joined together to become Piedmont Heart Institute. She currently leads the women's heart program at Piedmont Heart and also serves as the associate director of echocardiology. Dr. Mobasseri has written multiple publications and abstracts on heart disease in women and on cardiac imaging in women. She also gives lectures for the American Heart Associations Go Red for Women Campaign as well as for medical grand rounds at Piedmont Hospital.

Dr. Kalindi Parikh is originally from Selma, Alabama and received her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology followed by her M.D. from the Chicago Medical School. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago. She went on to complete further training in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) outside Washington D.C.

She is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine as well as multiple imaging subspecialties including echocardiography, nuclear medicine, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT.

Dr. Kalindi Parikh was previously at the Atlanta Medical Center, where she also served as Chair for the Department of Medicine prior to the hospital’s eventual closure. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and also a member of the American society of Echocardiography.

Her hobbies include reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, kids, and dogs.
